Flying to Whistler? If so, your arrival time might end up costing you a lot of money when it comes time to book your transportation from Vancouver International Airport to Whistler. That cheap "red eye" flight you booked might not have saved you so much money after all!
Every day we receive requests from people arriving in Vancouver after midnight that want an affordable way to get to Whistler. They are disappointed to find out that there really aren't any after 11 PM! The only options for late night arrivals are relatively costly private transfers (taxi, limo, suv, etc.) to Whistler or get an airport hotel room and catch a shuttle/bus in the morning. However, by the time you pay for the hotel you might as well have just paid for a private transfer! And you will have wasted an entire morning when you could have been skiing!
So, if you're booking flights to Whistler, try to arrive in Vancouver before 10 PM. That way you'll have a wider range of transport options available to you.
