Getting Around Whistler

Whistler is a pedestrian friendly place where visitors are encouraged NOT to bring their cars. To be perfectly honest, unless you're staying far outside the village, you don't really need a car when staying in Whistler. In fact, many of the locals don't bother owning cars at all!

Most visitors to Whistler find that the best way to get around is either by foot, public transit, or by taxi. If you require a taxi while staying in Whistler, we highly recommend calling Whistler Resort Cabs.

A Whistler taxi tip: Taxis are very busy in the evenings and on the weekends.  Pre-booking your taxi a few hours in advance is always a good idea if you have dinner reservations or need to be somewhere at a certain time.
